A Look At This Year’s Top Summer Camps In The Florida Keys
If you are looking to keep your children active throughout the Summer, there are plenty of Summer camps going on around the Florida Keys. Here is a look at some of the top options.
Boot Key Sailing Camp
The Boot Key Sailing Camp consists of five two week sailing sessions throughout the Summer. Every day, there will be a morning and afternoon session. On the weekends, campers can go snorkeling while also partaking in beach combing.
Pigeon Key Marine Science Summer Camp
The Pigeon Key Marine Science Summer Camp runs from July through August. Campers will have the opportunity to learn about reef fish identification while also snorkeling at The Sombrero Reef. The Campers will also have the opportunity to participate in an underwater obstacle course.
Art Camp 2018
Starting in June, there will be continual one week camps through August. Campers will learn about clay animation, sand sculpting, and mask making. Every week, campers will have the opportunity to take field trips to local museums, gardens, and beaches.
Dolphin Plus Summer Camp
Campers will learn about different ecosystems and coral reefs, as well as the Everglades. Campers will also have the opportunity to interact with dolphins and learn their behavior traits. The Summer camp will also give campers the chance to interact with other marine mammals.
Marathon Community Park Camp
Campers will meet at The Marathon Community Park’s main Pavilion starting in June. Campers will enjoy many fun activities. Every week campers will also have the opportunity to go on some out of town field trips.
Jacobs Aquatics Center
Campers will have the opportunity to go swimming and participate in daily activities and games. Campers will get to enjoy a featured movie every day while also learning about arts and crafts.
Big Pine Key Island Groove Dance Camps
There will be a Kick Off Camp in June. Campers will learn about music, movies, crafts, dance, and much more. The following week there will be a Fantasy Dance Camp. In July, there will be a Descendants Dance Camp. The first week in August, there will be a Tumble Circus. Campers can participate in different games, crafts, and acrobatics tumbling.
Coast Camp
Coast Camps allow children to explore Key West through different outdoor adventures. Campers will learn different lessons through the help of innovative games and guided tours. Campers will have the opportunity to climb trees, go skateboarding and learn about boating. Coast Camp runs through July, and all programs are analog.
