We really enjoyed our stay on the Grey Lady. Location, location, location! The houseboat is the last one on the slip and faces out into the mangrove marina, with lovely views. It’s also very spacious inside. Upstairs is an open LR -DR area with access to the outdoor seating area. Below are the four bedrooms and two baths. There’s a small heated pool at the marina, which our kids enjoyed on cool winter evenings. Didn’t get any advanced communication like some VRBO properties, but Mike called us on the day of check-in to let us know that the office closes at 5 pm and he left a packet out for us, so check-in was easy. He also left the houseboat lights on for us, which we appreciated. The kitchen does not have a traditional stove top. There are two electric hot plates. There’s lots of refrigerator space (2 minis plus a small fridge-freezer upright). Regular-sized coffee maker, microwave, and toaster. We comfortably ate breakfast and lunches but decided to eat dinners out. We didn’t need the fourth bedroom with the single bed but it’s a small space – would be perfect for a kid. All in all, this was a fun experience and great location to enjoy the Florida Keys!
