Key Lime Festival – June 30 – July 4
America’s Favorite Citrus Celebration is right around the corner! From June 30 to July 4, 2022, we will be celebrating everything that makes the Florida Keys fresh, fun, and festive. Here at the birthplace of Key Lime Pie, you can dig into the freshest flavors and slide a little piece of Florida Keys sunshine right on your plate during five full days of culinary wizardry. Each event is designed to celebrate not just our pie but everything that makes the Florida Keys special with an emphasis on “Love and Limes”!
This year is shaping up to be the best celebration so far with our most popular celebrations from the past making reappearances, including our Key Lime Cocktail Sip & Stroll and the Key Lime Pie Hop as well as some refreshingly new celebrations. For those who have a special hankering for Key Lime pie, we even have some sweet and intimate treats for VIP Key Lime lovers. You can see all the events and get your tickets here!
The festivities kick off with a cookbook signing and champagne reception at the Curry Mansion on the evening of June 30th. The next day, things really start heating up, so you’ll want to cool off with some refreshing key limes with a mini key lime pie class, a key lime rum tasting, or even a key lime pie master class, which are all taking place Friday.
Saturday, you can check out the Key Lime Pie Drop followed by the Key Lime Sip and Stroll. Make sure you save some time to wander through the Key Lime Vendor Village to explore all the wares on display and maybe even pick up a kitschy sweet souvenir or two.
Sunday’s activities are even more plentiful with a pie hop, brunch, a mimosa bar, and a Key Lime Scavenger Hunt. The July 4th activities are guaranteed to take the cake or Key Lime pie, as the case may be, with a Firecracker 5k, a pool party, and a pie-eating championship with plenty of family-friendly games. In the evening, you can join everyone for food, fun, and fireworks at the Indigenous Park. Whatever else you do, don’t forget to grab your frozen key lime pies from Kermit’s Key Lime Pie Shoppe, where you can have your pies and eat them, too. Grab a few extra to ship back home where you can enjoy your own little taste of the Florida Keys when you return!
